18th Medical Congress: Uniting minds and advancing healthcare for a better tomorrow
Dear Esteemed Colleagues, and Distinguished Guests,
It is both a profound honor and a privilege to address you all on behalf of the Peradeniya Medical School Alumni Association (PeMSAA) as we prepare for the 18th Medical Congress. This presidential message serves not only to welcome you to a premier gathering of medical minds, but also to reflect on our collective journey, resilience, and vision for the future of healthcare.
Over the past few decades, PeMSAA has grown into a vibrant global bridge connecting our esteemed alma mater, the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, with thousands of alumni, researchers, and medical practitioners who are making profound impacts across the globe.
Throughout my tenure as President, our focus has been driven by three core pillars:
Strengthening our ties with the medical faculty to provide essential resources, scholarships, and infrastructure support to the next generation of medical students.
Uniting our alumni across borders to foster meaningful mentorship, research alliances, and international outreach programs.
Empowering both young doctors and seasoned consultants through continuous professional development, knowledge-sharing platforms, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The past two years have particularly been a period of generous support from our dear alumni for the infrastructure development of our alma mater, for which I am ever so grateful.
This 18th Congress is a celebration of those values. I extend my deepest gratitude to the PeMSAA council, the Congress Organizing Committee, our sponsors, and every member of the alumni community whose dedication made this event possible. Thank you for your unwavering support, your devotion to the art and science of medicine, and your enduring commitment to our alma mater.
I wish you all an inspiring, fruitful, and memorable 18th Medical Congress.
“Uniting minds and advancing healthcare for a better tomorrow.”
